Following in the long tradition of the Canadian Lipoprotein Conference (CLC) and the Canadian Society of Atherosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology (CSATVB) meetings, the Canadian Lipid & Vascular Summit is a joint annual meeting initiated in 2019 of the CLC and CSATVB to bring together basic and clinician scientists from Canadian and international research institutions to present their recent, unpublished findings in the fields of lipid and lipoprotein metabolism, atherosclerosis, and other aspects of cardiovascular and metabolic disease. The cutting edge research conducted by CLVS scientists is at the forefront of biomedical research and continues to advance knowledge towards potential therapies to target metabolic diseases including atherosclerosis, obesity, fatty liver disease, diabetes and Alzheimer’s disease, among others. In addition to featuring established investigators in the field, the meeting highlights presentations from trainees at all levels and the opportunity to apply for travel as well as oral and poster presentation awards.
